The Office of Budget Profile and Descriptions

The Office of Budget is made up of approximately 60 people in five separate divisions and is headed by Dennis Williams, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget. Mr. Williams has held his position as Deputy Assistant Secretary since 1984.

The Office is primarily responsible for providing analysis and advice to the Secretary and the Assistant Secretary for Management and Budget (ASMB) on the formulation, analysis and presentation of the HHS Budget.

Administrative support for the Budget Office is provided by Naomi Cook, Mr. Williams’ secretary, and Beverly Baker, the office’s administrative officer.
